Make sure the handset volume is not set too low. Check that you can hear the dial tone when you pick up the phone. If you do not hear a dial tone, please contact your telephone operator to check the connections with the box, or to see if your box does not need to be configured.

• Checking the connections:

Check that the telephone cord is correctly connected to the telephone and the line, or to the telephone port on the Internet box. Also check that the telephone cord is not damaged.

• Testing with another phone:

Try using another telephone to determine whether the problem is with the telephone or the line.
